When I got older, I realized that if I didn't feel down with clubbing, there were dwindling options where people actually congregated. Cafés, bookstores, even pool halls in my day, but those can be rather expensive hobbies.
Back to restaurants. I hate that they insist on dimming the lights after 5 PM. Being a lipreader, it's a disadvantage. When the trend for louder music happened, you could say I lost my appetite for eating out. Clubbing, that's different. There was no need to wear hearing aids because people were yelling to be heard anyway.
Guess it's the library for me.
